Brakes has just been rewarded at the 2009 Excellence in Food & drink Awards for products made by Jon George. The Gold Award went to the Blacksticks Blue Cheese & Walnut Soufflé which was praised for its ‘fabulous taste & texture’ and ‘great visual appeal’, concluding that it would be ‘a delicious option on any gastro pub menu’. The Goats Cheese & Red Pepper Cheese Cake was also rewarded, winning the Vegetarian Category.
